🌅 Chasing Sunsets and Pirate Dreams

It’s no secret—I’ve been a longtime Parrothead. Jimmy Buffett’s music has always been more than just background noise; it’s been a soundtrack to my life. And sometimes, like tonight, when the sun sinks low over the horizon and a ship sails by in silhouette, my imagination takes off on its own adventure.

Out there on the water, I couldn’t help but think of Tully Mars. In my mind’s eye, I was right there with him—on board the Lecretia, taking orders from Cleopatra Highborn. Chasing down a Fresno lens, dodging danger at every turn, and somehow finding just enough time to cast a line into the flats, fly rod in hand, salt air stinging my face.

There’s something about views like this that blur the line between reality and daydream. The ship becomes more than just a tourist boat—it’s a vessel of possibility. A reminder that life isn’t about staying anchored in the safe harbor, but about letting the tide carry you into uncharted waters.

For me, it’s always been about the adventure. About leaning into the unknown, taking the leap, and seeing where the current takes you. And maybe—just maybe—ending up with a storybook love story along the way.

So tonight, as the sun melted into the Gulf and the sky turned to gold, I raised an imaginary toast to Tully, to Jimmy, and to every wanderer chasing their own kind of paradise.

Here’s to the adventure. Always.
