❄️ From Flip-Flops to Frost Back to Kentucky (Whether We Were Ready or Not)

We left Florida in 90-degree sunshine and rolled into Kentucky at 28 degrees with a heavy frost on the ground—one of those changes that hits you the second you step out of the truck. One day you’re in flip-flops, taking your time and soaking up the sun, and the next you’re digging for a hoodie wondering why you didn’t think ahead just a little bit better.
Florida gave us exactly what we needed—easy days, warm nights, and that kind of time together you don’t rush. It’s the kind of place you could stay a little too long if you let yourself. But that’s not how this life works. When it’s time to go, it’s time to go, and just like that, another chapter closes and the road sends you somewhere new.
Kentucky was waiting on us, and it made sure we knew it. Frost covering the ground, cold air that wakes you up quick, and trees still holding onto winter. It’s quieter here this time of year, a little slower, not as flashy as the beach—but there’s something about it that feels just as right in a different way.
Now Winston… he’s got a completely different perspective on all of this. This is his Super Bowl. Wide open space, no leash, neighbors to visit, and more new smells than he knows what to do with. He’s running wide open like he owns the place, and out here, he kind of does. Cold weather doesn’t slow him down one bit—if anything, it just adds to the fun.

For now, the truck’s parked, the trailer’s sitting still, and we’re back on the farm catching our breath. But we both know how this goes. This isn’t the end of anything—it’s just the pause before the next assignment, the next road, the next story waiting on us.

Life has a way of changing on you quick. One minute you’re standing in the Florida sun, and the next you’re walking across frost-covered gravel in Kentucky. But it’s never really been about the place. It’s about the time together, the memories you make along the way, and learning to appreciate every chapter—even the cold ones.
From sunshine to frost, we’ll take it all—because as long as we’re together, every stop along the way is exactly where we’re meant to be. Life moves fast, but these are the moments we hold onto—family, fresh air, and time together… and that’s what it’s all about...
We love you all!
